Prof. Dr. Md. Aminul Islam is a distinguished Dermatologist and Dermatosurgeon with extensive experience in clinical dermatology, venereology, and advanced dermatologic surgery.

He completed his MBBS from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College in 2003, followed by MCPS in Skin & VD from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 2008 and FCPS in Skin & VD from BCPS in 2012. He also obtained his CCD in Diabetes from BIRDEM in 2012.

He received specialized training in Medicine, Dermatology, Venereology, and Dermatosurgery at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Bangladesh Medical University (formerly BSMMU), under the guidance of renowned specialists. He has a particular professional interest in skin cancer and its management.

Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam has published nine articles in indexed medical journals, including a handbook for graduate medical students and general practitioners titled “Fundamentals of Dermatology.”

He began his academic career as a Registrar in the Department of Dermatology & Venereology at Northern International Medical College Hospital, Dhanmondi, Dhaka, where he progressed to Associate Professor. He later served at East West Medical College, Uttara, Dhaka, before returning to Northern International Medical College Hospital as a Professor of Dermatology & Venereology.

Currently, he is serving at Northern International Medical College & Hospital and also works as a Senior Consultant at Aurora Skin & Aesthetics. He is also the Course Coordinator of the “Fundamental Training on Dermatology” program, previously known as DOC.

His areas of expertise include Electrosurgery, Cryosurgery, Laser Surgery, Skin and Nail Surgery, Skin Biopsy, Tumor and Mole Excision, Ingrown Nail Surgery, Intralesional Therapy, Chemical Peeling, and Skin Cancer Management.
